I'd like to use your photo on my blog/website, can I? Yes, but you must credit the photo with a link back to me. This means writing under the picture "photo via: the dainty squid" or something similar. Please DO NOT use my photos for commercial purposes and pretty pretty please don't add them to weheartit. 

Can I post one of your tutorials on my blog? Only one photo from the finished product with a link to the tutorial. Please do not add the step by step photos or any of the directions.

Where did you get the decals for your keyboard? I found them on etsy. Just try searching "keyboard decals".

What kind of camera do you use? My two main cameras are a Canon EOS 60D and a Canon Digital Rebel XSi. I love both of them but I owe everything to this lens. To to see what's in my camera bag, go here.   

What kind of photo software do you use? I use photoshop CS5. 

What do you do for a living? I'm a full small business owner. The Dainty Squid and my vintage shop, Circus Bear Vintage pay my bills! 

Why don't you want your photos added to weheartit? To be really blunt, I hate that site. (Yes, I'm guilty of using it in the past) but 98% of the time the pictures are added there without credit and even if they are most people just use "weheartit" as credit (yes, I did this in the past too, i know!) but weheartit didn't take the photo! So in simple, I don't like the credit being taken away from the photographer.

Who is your tattoo artist? I get tattooed by Bryan Krause at Atom Bomb Tattoo (Willoughby, Ohio). I have been tattooed by other not so great artists in the past but all of what you can see from pictures is by Bryan. I highly recommend him, if you're anywhere near Willoughby go to him! :)

How much did your chest piece/sleeve/other tattoo cost? This is a personal question and one that really doesn't matter. All artists charge different amounts, usually by the hour. If you're planning a tattoo and want to know how much something will cost, ask your artist. 

Will you post a better photo of your tattoos? I'm sorry, I no longer share photos of my tattoos online. I feel uncomfortable with the idea that someone might be a little too "inspired" and copy. I've seen it happen far too many times. 

How many tattoos do you have? I have my knuckles (including thumbs) tattooed, a full sleeve, a full chest piece, one large thigh piece, the beginning of another full sleeve, plus 4 other small tattoos.

How many piercings do you have? I wear jewelry in 10 piercings.

What is your natural hair color? Dirty blond.

Isn't your hair fried from dying it so often? Not at all, I take very good care of my hair. Hair dye doesn't hurt your hair and bleach won't fry your hair as long as it is done properly. I've included some tips in this post on bleach.

What kind of hair dye do you use? Depends on which color I'm doing but this series has lots of info about that, as well as tips of making the color last and more! If you're asking about a color in a certain photo - I'm sorry but I can't answer for two reasons. 1) I probably don't even remember, even if it's my current hair color. 2) It really doesn't matter. My hair is normally dyed a unique mix of many dyes and applied to hair that already some color left over from the last time so the chances of you achieving the same thing by knowing the colors used is slim to none.

When did you learn to sew? I sewed for the first time in middle school, it was love! My parents bought me a machine....and I never used it. Years and years later I discovered it in my closet and it was love again, but true love this time. I've been sewing like crazy since, that was five years ago.

What kind of sewing machine do you use/recommend ? I use and and highly highly recommend  Singer Advance. It's a great machine that is very modestly priced and will last a long time!
 
Do you have any tips for a beginner on etsy? My one main piece of advice is you get what you put into it. If you work your butt off making a high quality product, taking awesome pictures and promoting in the right places it will pay off! Be patient!

The Dainty Squid? Where did that come from? As you may know, Squid is one of my kitties and she's awfully dainty. Simple as that! ;)

How do you get such awesome macro shots? Macro filters! They're cheap, easy to use and most of all aaaaamazing! If they aren't already in your camera bag, go buy some now!

What kind of food coloring do you use? Lately I've been using this kind. It's really vibrant and you can't taste it!

Do all of your cats get along? They sure do! Of course as we added each one to the family it took some time for them all to get acquainted. But now they're all the best of friends.
