For Christmas I got some really great gifts but one of my favorites has to be a membership to the Cleveland Zoo! Kevin and I normally visit twice a year but this gets us free (or discounted) admission to a bunch of other zoos in every state too! I'm totally stoked!
We decided to break our passes in and hit up the Cleveland Zoo the first weekend in January. It rained a bit while we were there but it was a beautiful day none the less. I fell in love with the armadillos (how did I never notice how absolutely precious they are before?!) and the beaver (we shared a moment!) but my favorite photos are of the bears! There were four cute little cubs wresting, relaxing and just being silly. I had a really hard time choosing which photos of them to share...

Doesn't it look like he's saying something like "Hey, calm down man!" to the other one? Haha!!
Hope you're having a great Saturday!

Wow these are lovely! I love bears, but I hate how angry they are :( I'd like them to be nice to people sometimes but they never are. I suppose that it fair enough because they are wild animals, but still xx
ReplyDeleteStacey, I'm not sure if you're referring to bears in general or these ones but these guys are just cubs and were most definitely playing not being mean.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! Kisses

Those are some great pictures! Going to the zoo is one of my favorite things to do! I am from Cincinnati, and the zoo there is awesome if you ever get a chance to go. I don't live in Ohio anymore, and really regret not got to the Columbus or Cleveland zoo.
ReplyDeleteActually, (and maybe this shows my age) I see the little bear in the last photo like Farmer Ted in "Sixteen Candles" going, "Chill!"
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful gift. Glad you are enjoying it.

They're so cute! I've actually been to a place in North Carolina where they'd let you feed the bears. They were so cute, one of them would even dance for the food

OOOhhh those bears are soooo cute! I love going to zoo's too! Those moments when the animals make eye contact with you and don't seem like they want to eat you...those are priceless! I love catching them playing and doing what they do best. Its always the worst when you encounter whooping monkeys because they scream and scare you...but its also funny at the same time! I loved these photos...thanks for sharing! Hearts, Janna Lynn
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, ha! That's too funny. I might just have to make regular trips to our local zoo. I can't even remember the last time I've been. How horrible is that?! Thanks so much for sharing. I can't get over that last photo, haha!

ReplyDeleteCleveland! Interesting. I'm currently researching cities I'd like to move to, but don't know anything about Cleveland. What's it like? I'd like a city that's fairly laid-back, not too hot of weather, a pretty good theatre/art/music scene, decent cost-of-living, has Farmer's Markets, and has a pretty good public transportation/ walking options.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great gift, I would of loved getting something like that! I love the second one.. he looks like he's trying to model.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so great! I miss having a zoo membership.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Hope you have a wonderful year visiting all the zoo's around you!
ReplyDeleteI will try to visit two of the nearest zoo's in my area; one with some exotic animals like tigers and such, and one with just scandinavian animals (I live in Sweden).
Its too bad that all zoo's in Sweden are pretty small. But I could go there several times a year if I could! :D
Tee hee! Super cute - and great photos!!
ReplyDeleteso adorable
ReplyDeleteYay I love zoos too! Last summer I visited Europe's most ancient zoo in Vienna (Austria), it was really great!
