I just discovered these photos on my laptop the other day. They were taken near the beginning of fall and I completely forgot to share. Kevin and I were taking a quick hike on the trails at the park when we spotted these beautiful mushrooms in all different shades of yellow and orange. There had to be hundreds. It was amazing. We were kind of in a hurry (okay, I was, because the mosquitoes were being particularly fierce that evening) so I just gathered a few to photograph.

I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, but these are so pretty! They remind me of little jellyfish (without the epic amount of tentacles of course!)
ReplyDeleteI was also going to ask whether you tried them?? They do look kinda trippy!

Gorgeous photos! I have to admit, mushrooms are a bit intimidating to me, in terms of picking them to eat. But I can appreciate how cute and mysterious they are, little secrets in the forest.
ReplyDeleteThe 3rd shot macro is stunning.
I've never seen so many colorful mushrooms. Most of ours tend to be tan/brown/white, but your posts always make me want to go searching for more varieties.

ReplyDeleteLove these photos! I love finding mushrooms in the woods but for some reason MN doesn't have a whole ton and they are usually the big giant white kind that grow on tree trunks. Which don't get me wrong, are fun, but I want to find fun ones like you do!
