I dyed my hair! (obviously!) Let me let you in on a little secret...it was supposed to be brown, but apparently brown and purple make green...? Why brown? I was just ready for something different, after almost 4 years of colorful hair I thought I was ready for a break, something low maintenance and less obnoxious. At first when I saw that it didn't turn out brown I was really upset (think tons of tears!) but I absolutely adore it now. Change is good! It's nice to break away from my normal blues and purples for a little while. But I've realized I'm not ready to go to a "natural color" I love my fun colors too much, I'm so so so thankful it didn't turn out as planned. Brown hair will not be making an appearance on this lady aaaaanytime soon!
Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Love the new hair! For some reason I keep thinking in the first picture Totoro should be standing next to you c: you'd make a great couple.
ReplyDeleteI love your jumping pictures. Always bring a smile to my face :)
ReplyDeleteI like the new color! A happy accident, indeed!
Love the flower brooch. And the hair is unusual, but really cool!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing pictures - and a great outfit :-) can I ask for the photo details, equipment etc? That would be awesome, thanks :-)

a german fan of yours ;)
I love how you got the green hair. And I definitely couldn't see you with brown hair because that's just way too normal!
ReplyDeleteBut I love the outfit and how it all coordinates and you are just too adorable.
Cute!
Love the green! I remembered after reading your post that I have a flower brooch just like that only in blues. I need to dig it out and wear it!
ReplyDeleteI really REALLY love this whole outfit! It's just great. You continue to be cute as a bug's ear! (cause if bugs had ears, that'd be pretty cute, right?)
ReplyDeleteThe green hair is basically awesome. But if I was expecting brown I probably would have cried too. Love that you matched it with the purse :)
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit and the lush green backdrop here. Cute hat! Makes me want to dig out and wear mine ASAP. Will do so tonight :)
ReplyDeleteyou look great! :) And I know what you meant when you wrote about this change with your hair - I'm having my hair pink now for 5 years and I sometimes think about dying it brown but I'm always happy that I'm not doing it cause pink is just my hair color :D
ReplyDeleteOooh, I've been eyeballing that camera bag for MONTHS! Do you love it? Maybe I should take the plunge...

I LOVE the GREEN!!!
ReplyDeletehow do you like that camera bag from Jo Totes? I have been considering getting one, but there are no reviews on their website...
averie, I absolutely adore it. It's perfect! I'll do a review on it and the other bag I have from Jo Totes soon.
ReplyDelete:)
First thing I thought when I saw the first picture was «oh my, she dyed her hair again!». I'm so happy it didn't turn brown, I think it wouldn't suit you so well as colourful hair (and that green looks great!), believe me, I have brown hair... no fun! :D
ReplyDeleteI had to look twice because of your hair. It was like... "Hang on, what about the purple?" - but I reckon the green suits you well, too. I love green, it's my favourite colour and the more often you dye your hair the more jealous I get because you can absolutely rock anything!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Green looks so good on you! I love how your hair almost matches the trees in the first photograph.

i never thought olive green hair would be cute, but it is adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! i looooooove your green hair!!haha and i think that it really happened good that instead brown you got green. soo alive and uniqe! :D and it fits to the nature in the photos perfectly :D

ReplyDeleteI lovelovelove your hair and your dress and basically everything about these photos!

ReplyDeleteI've always loved that camera bag, wish I had one myself. Though there's one from Lomography coming my way and I'm looking forward to that too:)
P.S. This was the first time I caught a good glipmse of your sleeve.... it's awesome!!!
ReplyDeletethe green hair looks great! stick with the colors :) way more interesting than brown hair
ReplyDeleteI love the green! I like that it's not that bright. It looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteMarie.
Definitely a happy accident! You look lovely in these pictures.
ReplyDeleteI have that same camera bag, but in Marigold. I love it. I was torn between the green and the yellow when I bought it.
ReplyDeleteI just got the new one, the Betsey, but I'm not going to switch over until it gets cooler out.
you are my style icon hands down!!!!! i want to come play in your closet, pretty please? hehehe, oh in your pictures on tweeter yesterday it looked brown but either way your hair looks AMAZING! i don't think there is a color that would look bad on you! i hope you love it as it looks awesome! are you gonna try for brown again?
ReplyDeletexo,
cb
It is a really natural green, if there is such a thing?? Looks good!
ReplyDeleteNova, that is exactly what I said about it. It is a really natural green!
ReplyDeleteCute! You look like the lime or mint-hued friend of Strawberry Shortcake's that never was! The old Strawberry Shortcake who was awesome when we were kids... not the new one. :)
ReplyDeleteGreen purse= awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI love the quality of your photos :)
Happy Tuesday!
Love your blog and your style! It's so individual (in a good way aha!)
ReplyDeletePlease take a look and my blog and art :) http://stylebutton.blogspot.com/
I'm in the same boat as you! I went from pretty, vibrant colors to a purple-y brown, which I hated and immediately dyed a natural red, which was too light. Then I went to a medium brown and that only lasted about a month before I went back to fun colors.
ReplyDeleteI just really wanted to share how much I love your tattoo. I recently just got my first, nothing as cool as yours though.
ReplyDeleteI love your current hair colour. :3
ReplyDeleteThis green color is so beautiful it seems like it was perfectly planned!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit, it's one of my all time favorite outfit it looks so elegant and appropriate for a walk in the park at the same time (:
-Sandra Ponycat
That shade of green is one of my favorites and I think it suits you beautifully. Don't you just love happy accidents? And what a lovely location! You're like a modern Jane Austen character on that path.
ReplyDeleteyou look beeeeeeeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the brown/green. very earthy and cute. I also enjoy that your outfit coordinated with it :)
ReplyDeleteYou look like a lovely wood nymph! : )
ReplyDeletexo,
Sarah
the green looks great! how pretty are you that you can look fantastic in a multitude of hair colors!
ReplyDeletehttp://honeybeelane.blogspot.com/
What a glorious accident - your hair looks awesome! :) Love the brooch and belt - such a cool colour combination :)
ReplyDeleteI love your new shade of sage! I went teal over the summer but I dyed my hair dark natural brown for one month so i can be a natural forest nymph and wear yellows, browns, and creams. But next month, I'm returning to my natural color: bright red so I can wear it with really colorful fall outfits I've been planning all year!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks really great. You see, everything have it's own reason!
ReplyDeletei have to agree with everyone else, i love your green hair :)
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me! the brooch, purse and scalloped belt! AAAaaaah!
ReplyDeleteI love you hair!!!! Such a cute outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteBut I know why your hair turned green!!!! Some times the box dye from the store has ash in it, and on some people it turns their hair green! It happens to my cousin, she wasn't happy with me when she had green hair and wanted brown! :] But there is the reason :]
little insight on why you ended up with the fun green hair...the brown color must have been a yellow based color and when applied over the purple/blue...they made green! a happy accident indeed lol
ReplyDeleteThink tons of tears when I was halfway through reading and thought you were going to persist with the brown dye. Phew..obnoxious, pfft, you inspire crazy fun times and mega courage in me and probably everyone who sees you!
ReplyDeleteWOW !! it's really weird i dreamed about that, last night! and today i come on your blog and i see what?!!! XD
ReplyDeleteI love the new hair! It looks perfect on you!

Kaylah, I LOVE these colors and shades on you!
ReplyDeletehaha! I love the 'purple + brown = green' equation in your hair :) it especially goes with this whole outfit post, and all the pictures and whatnot :) I love it! :D

Green looks great on you! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeletelovely! you remind me of clementine in eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.
ReplyDeletelove from sweden.
I love the new hair! It's really different. I died my hair brown after having it red for quite some time - to be honest, I am enjoying the low maintenance. I'm too lazy with my hair.
ReplyDeleteYou are so beautiful! I love your style and outfit!<3
