Matryoshka dolls, nesting dolls, babushka dolls, stacking dolls, whatever you call them, they're beautiful!
I don't have that many sets, but it is a growing collection. I buy them whenever I see them out and about. My favorite are traditional looking ones although I do have a few sets that aren't (see my animal set near the end of this post, and not pictured I have a set of cats)
Around the house:
My favorite is the largest one! I found her at a community garage sale that was being held at the fairgrounds back in September. The guy I bought her from said she was originally bought for her contents (a small bottle of vodka) and he only wanted $2 for her. I'd really like another large one, maybe one with children since this one is without.
xoxo!

ReplyDeleteI have started collecting momiji dolls (I love Japan, and anything cutesy), they kind of remind me of Russian nesting dolls. My mother-in-law has a huge collection, but she always pays a lot of money (when you could go thrifting and find it for a fraction of the price!

ReplyDeletewe have an identical one of the giant ones in our house too!! my little girl got it for Christmas from her aunty. Her Christmas jammies were all rolled up in side of it!
