52 weeks!

On our way home from a hike yesterday I thought of something I'd like to do; my 365 project except with instax photos instead of with my regular camera but I don't want the pressure of taking an instax photo everyday (taking instant pictures is so stressful to me, I always worried they won't come out as I hoped!) so I opted to do an instax photo every week instead.

A 52 week photo project is just what it sounds like, one picture a week for the whole year. It would be perfect if you're not ready to commit to taking a photo everyday. Or your could even do it along side your 365 project like I'm going to do.

Some fun 52 week project ideas:
• weekly self portraits.
• a weekly photo of your pet.
• a weekly photo of your kid(s).
• a weekly instax or polaroid photo.
• a weekly peek into your craft space.
• a weekly peek into your hometown.
• a picture a week of what you're wearing.
• a weekly photo that sums up your last seven days.
• a weekly photo update of something growing (a plant, your hair, etc)

Good luck if you're starting a 365 or 52 week project!
(PS. It's never too late to start a 365 project, it doesn't have to be on the first of the year.)

  7. I love this idea so much! I love the idea of a 365 project but the idea of taking a picture a day is intimidating as hell. I just go my own instax mini for christmas so this will give me an excuse to use it! Thanks soo much for the inspiration!!

  11. I don't have an instant camera, but I did get a pogo printer for xmas. I was looking for a project for it and this would sooo fun - and then I could make a minibook to hold all the tiny pics! Thanks for the inspiration - now to pick a subject!

  12. You inspired me to start a 365 project! I keep seeing them around, but never had the camera to do so. For my birthday/Christmas this year (they're super close together) my boyfriend got me a Pentax K-x! So now I get to learn my camera and start the project, woo! (:

  16. i really wanted to do a 365 this year with my instax but i had to factor in how much the cost of film would be for that (plus, i've not been very successful the past 2 years doing a general 365. oops!) doing a 52 week project is a great idea. my friend got me cute little photo albums for christmas to keep my instax's in as well. i'm excited to get going! good luck with your projects. :) xxx

    I wanted to do a photo project this year, but didn't want to do a 365 because I don't feel like I can commit to taking a photograph every day. The 52 weeks of instax looks like it is going to be the winning project!

  27. I totally wanted to do this with film in my diana,but then Id only be able to update at the end of each film/month and with film processing time it would not work out so well.
    52 weeks of instax is a great idea! and you wont have to buy too many films, imagine a 365 of it with film, wow $$ lol.

    I wish i could buy instax film in the shops, its always a 2 week wait from online!

    Jodie, two weeks? That's not bad! Both times I've bought film it's taken nearly a month to get here. (I'm currently waiting now!)

  48. Okay, I'm totally stoked! I just ordered my Fuji Instax Mini 7 camera and film. I can't wait to join in on the fun of 52 weeks of Instax or digital photos! Now I just hope I'm creative enough to come up with photos of things that are truly interesting, in some way!

  52. love it! i was given a polaroid for my birthday (last oct) and i haven't really been using it. this is a great opportunity for me to start snapping away. I mentioned about wantting to take more pictures on my blog yesterday and lo and behold I found this! Wooo! Very happy. Can't wait to start. Thanks Kaylah! xx
