Want! Forts are so cozy. I wish there was room in our home for a permanent one.

Aquarium, cozy fort, art supplies! Love all the colors here :)
ReplyDeleteThat tea infuser is SUPER CUTE but as a tea drinker...it wouldn't leave enough room for the tea leaves to spread out and really make a tasty brew. Important, especially if you pay a lot for your tea.
Oh my word, as an avid tea drinker I adore that Food colouring icicles :O Oh my! Tacky Christmas lights are the best. Holy hell, I need a fort like that! You always find the best things. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteAhh, I see Van. But it is cute... :P

Christmas lights...tacky or not they are always beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteand if I didn't live in the desert, I would totally do that to icicles! What a brilliant idea!
I'm pretty sure the second last picture is an art installation. My friend and I went to see a feminist art exhibit in Vancouver a couple of years ago and I'm 99% positive that was set up there almost the same.. it was filled with uncovered mattresses and a weird movie was playing on the tv. You could take your shoes off and go inside :)
ReplyDeleteThis whole post just filled me up with a lot of happy!!!
ReplyDelete1. that aquarium terrifies me. just the picture freaks me out. i never want to be that close to a shark in my LIFE!
2. tacky is my favorite. i'd love to see that house!
3. i wonder how much food coloring those icicles took because we've had 2 feet of snow since before thanksgiving...
those pictures make me want to build a fort :o
ReplyDeleteCat Island oh my ! This has to be the best place in the world ! And I did try the sticker on the cat once, really funny the way they walk, mine tried to jump on the couch and... failed :) (no harm done though), though you want to make sure the sticker isn't too sticky or you might pull a few hairs off :/
ReplyDeleteOMG where can I find one of those owl tea infusers?? I've been searching for a Christmas present for my friend and this is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe link only goes to a picture... please help!
Hi!! I am very very certain that I saw that installation at the Tate Modern in London in about September of 2007, I remember it was on the second floor and it was free admission, but I can't remember for the life of me the name of the artist involved.
ReplyDeleteSo many amazing favs this Friday!! I'd like to build a space just like that last fort-y pic. In it, I'd drink mugs of tea, made with an owl-shaped infuser. : )
ReplyDeletewow love them!
ReplyDeleteSorry guys, I have no idea where to find the owl tea infuser. I just found the picture on that person's flickr.
ReplyDeleteFound the source for the fort installation.

"I made a kind of over sized fantasy-reproduction of a teenager hut, the one I was never allowed to keep for a very long time in the basement of my parents house. The fantasy involved stealing the furniture from my parents and re-arranging them the way I pleased, filling the interior with activities to eliminate boredom. I wanted the construction to function as a free area of escape and nostalgia, a chill-out zone for the eternal teenager within..."

Whittard of chelsea out of the uk made the tea infuser. They no longer make the one that you are seeing. The picture is originally from etsy. I'm sure there are more floating around. In fact I saw one up on a japanese bidding site. Lol
